A friend and I are going to San Francisco in November. We want to do some of the same things we do in LA but just in San Fransisco. Bars, night clubs, good restaurants. We'll do pier 39 also. We are staying in Union square, and we want to actually be able to stay in that area. Are there any affordable but good restaurants, bar or night clubs Union Square?Where are some good spots to go in San Francisco?
If you are staying in Union Sq then you must go to Dotties True Blue Cafe (522 Jones St) and/or Sears Find Food (439 Powell St) for breakfast.

We enjoy Empress of China. It is a roof top restaurant on Grant St. serving wonderful Chinese dishes and the view is superb. Take a stroll around China Town when you have finished to walk off the dinner.
