Know any cosmetology schools in the San Francisco area?

Just finished high school, I'm ready to start school for makeup in the fall. My dream is to become a makeup artist but I'm having trouble finding schools that don't want to take me money and not teach me a thing! Does anyone know of some schools (preferably in the San Francisco area) that would be a good choice or will teach me well instead of this in and out in 2 weeks crap?

Much appreciated!Know any cosmetology schools in the San Francisco area?
Check out Beauty School (http://www.beautyschool.com) and Beauty School Directory (http://www.beautyschoolsdirectory.com) to find cosmetology schools in California. Both sites are great resource sites that group together quality schools for each state and Canada.. They are easy to use and search for a school in your area, can help you with just about any question you have about beauty school. Plus, you can actually request free information from any of the schools that look interesting. Cosmetology programs and schools are not finished in 2 weeks, rather they last month with required number of hours. After you have met the requirements, you take a state exam and get your cosmetology license.

You may also want to check out My Social Beauty (http://www.mysocialbeauty.com). Its a beauty social networking site for the cosmetology industry. You can connect with other beauty students, teachers and professionals and it has tons of great articles and beauty advice by Kimberley Bosso and other beauty celebrities and beauty experts in the industry. I use it often! You can search for schools as well.

And one more helpful thing. If you have any questions about cosmetology school - programs, tuition costs, salaries, careers, you can find answers to all your beauty questions here. http://www.beautyschoolsdirectory.com/fa鈥?/a>

Please forgo those private overpriced for-profit tech schools such as 'paul mitchell, the school', 'marinello', 'empire beauty' or such and instead consider the more Affordable county vo-tech school or community college as long as the program is accredited within the industry. It might take the cosmetology graduate a couple of years to 'get a book' (of regular customers) before possibly making decent money and then if one has a lot of school loans to repay, the person may be stuck with also having to pay rent, auto insurance and other necessary expenses.

These consumer sites have posts by former students of those private $$ for-profit tech schools:

Public community college cosmetology programs last at least a full quarter or semester and are much less expensive han private cosmetology schools.
