The Basket Ball Court you are seeking is in Chinatown it is on Sacramento and is either the Willy Woo Woo Wong playground near Hang Ah or the one at Cameron House at Joice.
As for other things to do, here is my Must Do San Francisco
1. Ride a Cable Car, the only moving historical landmark in the world. Stop off at the Cable Car Barn at Washington and Mason to get a full understanding of this unique form of transportation. Riding the Powell Hyde line will allow you to see Lombard Street the famous crooked street.
2. Visit Alcatraz, this former prison is the most popular destination in San Francisco. The bay cruise to and from the island will give you the opportunity to see the skyline from the water a unique perspective. During the height of tourist season it is wise to purchase tickets before you arrive as tours are often sold out days to a week in advance.

3. Visit Coit Tower, Beautiful murals inside, impressive bay view from the tower or Pioneer Park at the base. Then descend Telegraph hill via the Filbert Steps on the East side of the park for a unique view of how folks on Telegraph Hill live, more beautiful bay views and the chance to hear and see the famous Parrots of Telegraph Hill.
4. Golden Gate Bridge, not just a feat of engineering, this 1.7 mile span offers incredible views of The City, the bay and the Pacific ocean. Be sure to visit Ft. Point under the bridge for a different view of this San Francisco Icon.
5. Explore Golden Gate Park, this large urban park can consume a whole day. The New Academy Science, Japanese Tea Garden, Deyoung Museum [American Art], the Arboretum, Bison Paddock, and Paddle boats are all worth a look and watch the sun go down over the Pacific over a drink or dinner at the Beach Chalet.
6. Chinatown, the most densely populated portion of San Francisco offers the largest Chinese center for shopping, food and unique architecture found outside of Asia. The best place to buy souvenirs to take home to friends and family.
7. North Beach, traditionally the Italian section of the city which has no beach but abounds in quaint shops, great restaurants and The City鈥檚 best coffee options.
8. Civic Center, the largest collection of Beaux Arts buildings in the US. Home to San Francisco City Hall, with a dome larger than the US Capital, the Asian Art Museum and the Modern San Francisco Library with its San Francisco History Room housing an eclectic collection of city artifacts and photographs.
9. Buena Vista Gardens, this urban park is home to; the Museum of Modern Art the Museum of The African Diaspora, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Contemporary Jewish Museum, Cartoon Art Museum and the Metreon will keep you entertained for hours.
10. Twin Peaks, see The City and the bay spread out at your feet. Especially captivating at night when the lights seem to go on for ever.Going to San Francisco California need help?
You should definitely:
Walk across the golden gate bridge (and visit fort point located right below the bridge)
visit the marin headlands (the national park directly north of the gg bridge with sweeping views of the city) mount tamalpias and muir woods
ride a cable car
visit golden gate park (which fyi is not located near the golden gate bridge)
the de young museum in gg park (which currently has the king tut exhibit) and the academy of sciences museum, and the japanese garden
wander around haigh ashbury
visit the SF maritime museum and the SS Jeremiah O'Brien (the last remaining liberty ship) and the USS Pampanito (a WWII submarine)
visit peir 39 and fishermans warf (touristy but fun)
If you want to go to Alcatraz I highly recommend that you make reservations well in advance
Head down to Santa Cruz (1 hr south) or Monterey (2hrs)
that should keep you busy for a few days. And unfortunately I don't know about the basketball court
An iconic visit to San Francisco should include riding a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf %26amp; wandering around there - if you include Ghirardelli Square, Hyde Street Pier, Pier 39, %26amp; the Ferry Building Marketplace, it could take up a whole day!
There are so many things to see %26amp; do - to list them all would be impossible, but here's a start (for more detailed ideas, see http://www.discovernortherncalifornia.co鈥?/a> ):
Golden Gate Bridge
Coit Tower
Alcatraz Island (not just the prison)
Chinatown
Union Square
Golden Gate Park
SOMA
North Beach
The Castro District
Cable Car Museum
Painted Ladies
Marina District %26amp; Union Street
California Academy of Sciences
Exploratorium
Take a City Guides tour (they're free)
Cliff House
I hope this helps to give you some ideas! Have a great time - San Francisco is one of my very favorite places!Going to San Francisco California need help?
You'll want to visit Lombard St, the crookedest street in the world, take a cable car ride, go to the top of Coit Tower for a fanatastic view of the city, Chinatown (visit the fortune cookie factory), The San Francisco Zoo, Alcatraz, Angel Island, Muir Woods, drive across the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, The Embarcadero, Golden Gate Park (visit the Japanese Tea Gardens), China Beach (you can get great photos of the Golden Gate Bridge here).
Our favorites include starting with the cable car ride to the wharf (the Hyde Park one) it passes Lombard street, go to the end and stop in at the Buena Vista restaurant/bar on the corner for breakfast or lunch topped off with an Irish coffee. Then saunter along the main drag of the wharf area and enjoy look, shopping and snacking along the way. Visit to Alcatraz and Muir Woods are on our fave list also.Going to San Francisco California need help?
Someone asks "what to do in SF?" every day so I'd suggest that you look in yahoo answers for this. Sorry, can't help you about the bb court.
Clement street is a nice place to go have lunch or dinner. It's the mini version of Chinatown that's a lot cleaner and less crowded. If you'd like to do something different, have lunch at Coriya Hot Pot City on 10th Avenue and Clement. It's an all you can eat and cook BBQ/hot pot place. There's little knick knack shops, dim sum, bakeries and Asian markets.
North Beach is a busy area right next to Chinatown. A lot of movie makers love to film scenes in that part of the city.
Another thing that's really fun to do is to go check out the mansions in Pacific Heights. The views alone are to die for!
Also on Clement Steet is SanMo. They do daily casino bus trips to the local casinos as far as Sacramento for practically nothing. You make a reservation, pay like $15 bucks and upon arrival of the casino, get like $40 back plus a dining coupon.
*_~ So glad that you're considering SF for a travel !
I grow up here, always wanted to leave Bay Area However after my travel for the last 7 years to Seattle, LA, San Diego, LAs VEgas, Florida, New Orlean, HK, China, Japan, Hawaii, Thailand and Europe.. I can tell you that there's no place like the Bay Area!!
I just love the weather and the diverse culture here!! Traffic can be hectic but still bearable. Public transport is great! You can always take Bart, ferries, bus, taxi or cable car etc. However, if you don鈥檛 have much time or want to travel beyond the city 鈥?I think a car would help a lot. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but save you time to go more places faster..
Embarcadero is wicked nice, and it's not THAT far, so you could really just walk down it to the Ferry Building. On Saturdays they do a nice farmer's market and you can get lots of good stuff. Walk down to Pier 39.
