I'm not talking about going to Pier 39 or to Haight Street because I'm not trying to play tourist. I live in Sausalito and I really love the artsy, laid back, and friendly side of the city. I'm just looking for nice, preferably less known places I can go to get some cheap (good) food and have a good time. Also, any ideas on fun things to do besides those above would be awesome! Thanks!Where are some fun and cheap places a teen can go in San Francisco?
The SF Zoo recently remodelled the big cats house. Chinatown has cheap food and is something different. The dim sum is fun-- all kinds of hot meat pastries (shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings, custard tarts, etc.) and not expensive. Grant Ave is touristy though you can get SF souvenirs for low prices. The restaurants there are considered tourist traps-- not necessarily awful, but mostly tourists go there. Clement St. is the "second" Chinatown and some locals swear the food is better and the service is better there bc they want ppl to come back. There are various museums in SF too. Asian Art Museum, SF Municpal Railway Museum, DeYoung Museum. Ppl also enjoy walking around Japantown. The restaurants are not dirt cheap, but they offer you something new and mostly good tasting.Where are some fun and cheap places a teen can go in San Francisco?
You can try going to Stow Lake and go paddle boating or canoeing.Where are some fun and cheap places a teen can go in San Francisco?
Why even go to San Francisco if you have no money?
