What to do while in san francisco going to a giants game with my kid?

taking my 10 year old son to a giants game and april and also going to the fanfest this weekend is there any other cool sports things i should take my kid to see and do or just anything that anyone knows of that is really fun for kids?What to do while in san francisco going to a giants game with my kid?
Yerba Buena also has a cool museum called Zuem where your kids can create films and work with puppets and stop animation.



If they like comics you might want to take them to the Cartoon Art Museum not too from fromAT'ST park and Yerba Buena gardens.

The Exploratorium is great for kids AND adults -- but be sure to allow for at least a few hours or a half-day.

I also like the Mus茅e Mechanique at Pier 45.. It's a collection of old mechanical arcade games and machines, like the scary laughing lady, and mechanical miniature Ferris wheels, etc. It scared my daughter when she was younger because some of the mechanical people (like the Fortune Teller) can be a little creepy looking. Pier 45 is relatively close to the Giants stadium.

If you go plenty early to the ballpark, there are fun things within the stadium itself (pitching speed machine, play area, etc.). If you are going to be in town for a couple of days, and the Giants are NOT playing a day game on one of those days, you can take a behind-the-scenes tour of AT%26amp;T park (go in the dugouts, see indoor batting cages, etc.). Just walking along embarcadero is fun (Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 etc) - or you can catch the light rail train instead of walking.



There is a new Disney Museum at the Presido and Fort Point is cool place to watch people surf under the Golden Gate Bridge - lots of cyclists out that way too. The stuff said above is good. When you go to the game, be sure to go to Build a Bear (I don't know if a 10 year old would want that). There's also a Giants Dugout Store at the ballpark where you can get pretty much anything Giants.
