If you are open to hiking adventures there are many incredible hikes that are available. Going into San Francisco along Highway 35 (west of Interstate 280), there are several wonderful preserves and state parks. I love to hike in Purisima Redwoods but there are many others with great trails.
Here's a map for you:

The National Park Service also has great facilities for easy hikes in the city and just north in Marin County. It's called the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Clement St in SF-- aka the second Chinatown. Better food and service bc the restaurants know you have to make an effort to get there. Known by all the locals. Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa CA (50 N of SF)-- lots of fun even for adults if you even remotely like Snoopy, Charlie Brown, etc.
