How can i go from San Francisco to San Jose at midnight??

Next month i will arrive to San Jose to do some stuff in there, but at the night ( very close to midnight) I want to go to SF and stay in a hotel there, i dont want to pay hotel in San Jose. The bad thing is that I won't have a car, and I'm not sure if CalTrains work at that time. Any recommendation please? i will apprecciate it!!!How can i go from San Francisco to San Jose at midnight??
OPTION 1:



The last northbound Caltrain leaves San Jose at 10:30 PM and arrives in San Francisco at 12:01 AM.



On arrival, the N-Judah or T-Third trams will get you Downtown in 8 to 10 minutes. The trams operate until 1 AM (after that, they're replaced by slower OWL buses).

There will also be taxis waiting outside the train station.



OPTION 2:



VTA Bus #180 leaves San Jose Caltrain at 11:09 PM, and arrives at the Fremont BART station at 11:51 PM.



BART train for Richmond departs at 12:00 AM. You'll need to transfer to the last San Francisco train (at 12th Street station in Oakland).



Using this method, you'll arrive in Downtown SF at around 1 AM. Too late for trams, but there are OWL buses and taxis.How can i go from San Francisco to San Jose at midnight??
