The piers
AT%26amp;T park
Candlestick
The Downtown Area (metreon, yerba buena-- go bowling or ice skating, although it's probably cheaper to go to Pacifica and bowl; SFMOMA; give change to Bucket Man if you see him-- ITS A MUST; Westfield Mall-- downtown is the ultimate place for a teenager-- trust me, I'm a teenager)
Chinatown (some like it, some don't-- I'm not super fond of it, but great for photography if you want cool pics)
Japan Town is completely BORING (at least to me) but you might want to give it a visit
Golden Gate Park, Dolores Park (I love it.. perhaps more than Golden Gate Park)
Try to catch Outside Lands if you're still here when it comes around (August I believe). WOLFMOTEHER and THE STROKES and KINGS OF LEON are gonna be there (as well as many other artists such as Nas W/ Damian Marley, Al Green, and Chromeo). I'm not usually an advertiser, but this Outside Lands has one GREAT line-up (in my opinion).
WARNING: it's Summer... but that doesn't mean it's sunny. Bring a good amount of warm-day clothes and cold-day clothes. Today it was completely foggy but soooo hot and humid, then it turned sunny with a breeze, and now it's warm and slightly cloudy. Be prepared.
Hope you have fun! DO NOT pass up the downtown area, it is teen HEAVEN. I've grown tired of it now (I live here, so there are only so many times one thing can seem interesting), but I still go often because, though I've seen the same things a million times, I always have fun there. So hit up downtown!
Definitely respect street artists, musicians, and vendors. Many are amazing people who make San Francisco great. When you get the chance, shell out some cash. Especially to Bucket Man (the real one, though he has a job and a regular american accent, he just has a great smile), and that one guy with the awesome instrument contraption at pier 39 (I think his name is Jordan, something like that, he's VERY talented, not very funny though, but he tries. Last time I saw him he played The Who, Johnny Cash, and Bob Dylan. I'm unsure if he plays the same set every time or not).
#1 Rule: Have Fun
#2 Rule: At some point, just lay somewhere and stare at the sky, or go somewhere and watch the waves.
Enjoy the city!

Haight St, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park, Giant's games... The Metreon would be fun too. They have a huge arcade and an IMAX theater.
