Best things to see in San Francisco?

I'm flying to San Francisco and then driving to Yosemite this summer. I'll be in San Francisco for only an entire Friday. What are the best things to see and what do you think of the activities I have listed. Thanks in advance for you help.

2. Walk the Golden gate

3. Ghiridelli tour (if there is one)

Downtown SF

Chinatown~lot of random cool stuff but close proximity to downtown

Castro~ a lot of fun

The pier and wharf have the wax and ripley's believe it or not museum



Since its only for a day, I suggest you just visit the downtown and pier area. Not too far of a distance, good food all around, but if taking public transportation to see the sites it might take you awhile. i suggest not using a car, parking is expensive. Just bring a camera, comfortable layered clothing (hot and cold weather varies throughout the day), some friends, and some good walking shoes! Overall you can find awesome deals on food and any souvenirs for home, so cost wouldnt be much of a hassle.Best things to see in San Francisco?
If you are only in SF for one day skip the wharf and Ghiridelli Square [no tour].



If you do Alcatraz it will take a half day and want to walk the GGB that will take another hour or so even if you cab out to the bridge and back so spend the rest of the day exploring Chinatown and North Beach.



If you are only spending one night I suggest staying in Union Square, my favorite hotels in the area are the Adagio, Galleria Park or Rex.
