I really want to drive out there (especially after hearing LA isnt that great). I understand theres an east bay, north bay, south bay.
Where is the best place in terms of scenery, nightlife, things to do, ect.? Which feels most like california? Ive been watching videos of people driving thru SF and it didnt really have a california feel to it or look very entertaining. San Jose looks nice though.Which is the best bay area of san francisco?
There is a reason why all the guidebooks to the region are titled "San Francisco and (the Bay Area, Northern California, etc)." San Jose is usually just a short chapter within the book. Sometimes it is omitted entirely.
San Francisco is the cultural center of Northern California. It has most of the world-class museums, swanky bars, and expensive restaurants in the area. Because that is what the lawyers, bankers, and tourists who keep the place buzzing expect.
While San Jose certainly looks like Los Angeles in the daytime (palm trees, freeways, smog), the similarities are largely superficial. L.A. has vibrant nightlife and lots of cultural venues. San Jose goes to bed at a sensible hour with a good book. The few locals who actually want to dance the night away will usually end up in San Francisco. Even Oakland has more to offer in terms of nocturnal activities.Which is the best bay area of san francisco?
San Francisco is an awesome city! Definitely unique and unlike anywhere in the world. Filled with an amazing history and culture, there is always something going on for everyone.
The city has a lot of great areas for tourists, and great local neighborhoods to be explored. Public transportation is cheap and accessible, shopping is diverse and everywhere, as well as great food from every ethnic influence imaginable.
San Jose is a nice city as well, great dining and nightlife downtown. But only San Francisco can provide that unique "wow factor"!Which is the best bay area of san francisco?
The Oakland, Berkeley east bay, it is close enough to san francisco so you can properly enjoy the city. And the cities are representative of our culture. There just isn't enough to do in San Jose to travel the 50 miles each way to go to San Jose. There is maybe one club that you will like out there and everything else closes real early. It is so boring.Which is the best bay area of san francisco?
San Francisco was a real city in the 1800s when Los Angeles was a village. However, I would recommend San Jose for you since it has hot weather, smog, jobs, night clubs and looks like Los Angeles. Your idea of California is only the southern part of the state.
