I will be taking a trip to San Fran in July and would like opinions of different things to do there besides the obvious. I would also like to know where there are clubs that play DnB, dance, and house music. And maybe a suggestion of a GREAT not good GREAT tattoo shop. In the summer there are a bunch of street fairs. If you're coming the 4th of July weekend then the Fillmore Jazz Festival is fun if you like jazz music. Upper Fillmore Street is in the Pacific Heights neighborhood so in clear weather you'll have a great view at the corner of Fillmore and Broadway.
The young crowd hangs out at clubs/bars around the Mission/Valencia district. However, if you are by yourself it might not be the best place to go to at night on your own.

The coolest nightclub in the city is Ruby Skye. It's expensive (they only stock top shelf liquor) but they have live DJ's and hot people. The best tattoo parlor in the city is Braindrops in Haight Ashbury. Wanna hear great dance music... go to the Castro. Badland and Club Jett are my faves and Im straight.
