Will my current admission status be affected?

Okay, I live in San Francisco and I'm almost supposed to graduate from high school. However, there is just one thing keeping me from that accomplishment which is the swim test. I cannot swim and I have eczema which acts up when I'm in a pool. I'm thinking about getting a doctor's note but if worse comes to worse where my doctor won't give me a doctor's note and I cannot graduate, I plan to just take an exam to get a GED as an alternative.

So here's my question: I have been accepted to a UC (University of California) and I have already signed the SIR. If I really do not get a high school diploma and instead, I get the GED, will my current admission status for the fall semester 2010? Or will I have to wait until the winter semester?

Here's the thing: San Francisco's school district is the only city in California (and possibly in the US) that requires the swim test. I have never heard of another school requiring a swim test to get a diploma, not even other cities in California. So if I fail high-school JUST because of the swim test, will they still let me in?Will my current admission status be affected?
Speak to the principal where you are now, they may be able to come up with a way round this problem, they may even waive the swimming test.
