Strange food stamp get away? Oregon to san francisco?

Me and my wife are just getting on our feet, just go approved for foodstamps and medi-cal since we are young, have part-time minimum wage jobs and are pregnant.

We live in a very small town north of Sacramento where there is NOTHING to do but "party" and do drugs... but us being a young married christian couple that's a bit out of the question.

Its the end of the month an we have just over 100$ in foodstamps to spend, and i have about 100$ left over from my last check

We were thinking of going camping up near oregon tonight, and then driving down to san-francisco to see street performers and visit a free aquarium and museum we found.

We are obviously tight on cash, but my poor wife who hails from Los Angelas has been holed up in our poor little town for too long with nothing to to. We even found a few restaurants that accept food stamps in San-francisco.

All things considered, is this a good idea?

I've never been camping just the two of us, and don't know the areas too well... i have a gps and will get directions Do you think this will work out well and prove to be fun?

Also i'm not sure if i necessarily want to be in "food stamp" accepting areas in san-fran... as i don't want to be raped and murdered or anything D:Strange food stamp get away? Oregon to san francisco?
You won't get raped or murdered in San Francisco...

I acutally think you shouldn't do the camping thing. Personally we are at a time where it is important to save your money if you don't have a lot of it. I would actually save it and if you are unhappy with your town keep saving so you can move someday.Strange food stamp get away? Oregon to san francisco?
It is too cold to go camping right now and there is snow on I-5 anyway. Are you in Chico or Oroville or some town like that?

You should not go to restaurants with food stamps. They go further in a supermarket. San Francisco is very expensive for food.

With a pregnant wife, you should not be out in the cold weather. Save your money for the baby. If Chico is not for you, and you want to stay in the Sacto valley area, try Lincoln or Yuba City for cheaper apartments.
