Including the night life......I will be in San Francisco this weekend, what are some fun things to do there?
You should go to Fisherman's Wharf %26amp; Pier 39. They both have lots of little shops and restaurants with great views of the water. Alcatraz is also great. The trips usually book pretty fast, especially in the summer so I would recommend booking that soon if you'd like to do it. If you'll have a car there you should go down Lombard St. It's free and pretty cool. You could go to Coit Tower, there is great views of the city %26amp; water from up there. China Town is also really cool. Also crossing the golden gate bridge is nice...you can go to some really scenic areas (it costs money to come back to SF from the other side!). There are so many other things you can do there, I'm not really sure how much you are looking to do but...you can see the painted ladies (the houses shown across the st from the park at the beginning of Full House) None of those houses are actually the Full House house though. The Full House house is 1709 Broderick st, if you're interested! Ocean Beach is also really nice.
I really hope you enjoy your visit there!
If you have any other questions, email me @ kbacon005@yahoo.com %26amp; I'll tell you some more stuff!
If you get cold easily I would recommend dressing pretty warm. It gets cold on the water. I spent last Saturday there %26amp; wore jeans, uggs, and a hoodie...I was so cold I had to buy a SF zip up fleece =)...It's an extremely nice city
P.S.
It was a sunny day when I was cold there!!! So don't be fooled by the sun!I will be in San Francisco this weekend, what are some fun things to do there?
Traveling to San Francisco is truly a unique experience. Here you can learn a great deal about the history of the city and also just enjoy some of the popular tourist attractions. Tours of Alcatraz, wineries and Chinatown are popular ideas for tourists in San Francisco.I will be in San Francisco this weekend, what are some fun things to do there?
I would encourage you to check out Alcatraz. You would be surprised to learn how many of the locals have never been there. A unique experience.
Secondly.......and please stay with me here........
Have you heard of the Black Dahlia. Forget about the terrible movie.....She is a true part of our history, and I think you will enjoy this...
Her real name is Elizabeth Short.....While she never actually lived in Oakland, she is buried there. Why? Becuase her sister lived there, and she wanted to keep Elizabeth in California, because she loved it so much.
I am relaying this to you because there are so many myths and legends surrounding her. However, if you would like to visit her grave, here's how.
Go to Mountain View Cemetary, walk through the front gates. You will immediately face a fountain with a roundabout. Go through the roundabout and come out the other side as if you had just gone straight through. Proceed down the road to the fountain with a roundabout. Go straight through it. You will come to a third fountain....agian, go straight through it. Shortly afterward, i mean only a few dozen feet......there will be a mosoleum to your left. Immediately after that, there will be a set of stairs going up the side of the hill. Go up these stairs almost half way....to your left, maybe 30 to 40 feet away, is Elizabeth's grave.
I think you will enjoy this unique piece of history. There have been many falsehoods concerning her burial place. These are accurate instructions.
Check it out. You could witness a major piece of California history that hardly anyone knows about.I will be in San Francisco this weekend, what are some fun things to do there?
