What are fun things to do in San Francisco for young adults?

I am moving to San Francisco in a couple of months and want to know what fun things there are to do. Also, what are good places to meet people since I will know absolutely noone?What are fun things to do in San Francisco for young adults?
Avoid Fisherman's Wharf and the other touristy areas. The locals visit those places only when they have folks visiting from out of town.



Just like most places the malls are hang outs for young folks. Westfiled and Metreon are very popular with the teen crowd.



Neighborhoods you can find lots to do and see with many coffee shops and book stores are a good bet. Explore the Mission and North Beach.What are fun things to do in San Francisco for young adults?
san francisco park is a nice place to visit. the zoo, but it's very depressing. I hate visiting the zoo. You can go to downtown for shopping than stop by pier 39 for dinner. There's also metreon, plenty of things to do there. Cheese cake factory is another place to see. That's all i can think of... have fun,What are fun things to do in San Francisco for young adults?
